**I Dream of Rapture**

I dream of rapture
of the Bright
Morning Star
I’ve seen myself
upon a shore
gritty, gray
cold as old night
before sunbreak as
dawn blooms
over the waves, beneath
the navy sky.

Face fixed
gripped forward,
light swells
and bursts
sharp and lightening-white – a flash
slices the horizon, and my breath
is gone.

I awake shaking
crying

*The King*
*The King is coming*
